Flipkart Ends Work from Home Policy Mandates 5 Day Office Return for All Employees

Flipkart’s Work from Home (WFH) policy, launched at the time of Corona epidemic in 2020, has now been completely abolished. Walmart-owned e-commerce company has allegedly directed all employees to work from the office 5 days a week. This change will be gradually implemented and applied to all departments and levels.

Moneycontrol Report According to, Flipkart first started calling the office of Senior Employees of Vice President Level. But now this imperative has been implemented to all. However, exceptions are still made for certain rolls and some select work from home days have also been allowed, which employees will be able to use according to their convenience.

An employee of Flipkart told Publication, “Now every employee, whether it is in any team or roll, will have to work from the office five days a week.” The company is gradually implementing this policy in the phase and in the coming few months all employees will be shifted to full time office work. “

Flipkart also confirmed this change and stated that most of the employees and contrasting workforce working in the company’s field rolls are already working from their location.

The statement said that “We have been moving towards the office return in the headquarters for the last one year. This has improved interaction, coordination and cooperation between the teams. Our goal is to further strengthen the spirit of the community between new and current employees and all have to focus on a shared objective.”

This move of Flipkart has come at a time when India’s e-commerce sector is changing rapidly and new segments like Quick Commerce are moving fast.
