Whatsapp Beta 2251224 Version Android New Feature Media Quality Control for Auto Downloads All Details

[

WhatsApp users may soon get a new control, so that they will be able to decide in which quality they need to download photos and videos automatically. The initial glimpse of this feature has been received in Whatsapp Beta Version 2.25.12.24 released for Android. This can be used especially in group chats, where unwanted HD image fills the phone’s memory quickly and the data also costs more.

Wabetainfo’s latest Report It has been reported that a new feature has been added to Whatsapp Beta Version 2.25.12.24 released for Android. Whatsapp is now creating a system in which when a user sends a photo in high quality, the app will also prepare a standard version of that image. If the auto-download in the receiver’s settings is set only for standard quality, then the same version will be downloaded in that case. However, if the user wants, then later the HD quality of the same image or video can also be downloaded manually, provided they are still present on the server.

This new feature of Whatsapp will give users control on both their storage and data. Especially in group chats, where unwanted HD image fills the memory of the phone quickly and the data also costs more, this feature can prove to be very useful. Now users will be able to decide themselves in which quality they need media files and if needed, the HD version can be touched and downloaded manually.

The report further states that this system is being made entirely keeping in mind the end-to-end encryption of Whatsapp. Media files cannot be processed on the server in low quality, so the sender device creates both quality versions and attachs with messages. This also determines that privacy will not be compromised. Currently, this feature is in the development stage and can be rolled out in an updated update.
